Aboriginal students are encouraged to explore all leadership opportunities that arise, including targeted initiatives.
This program aims to provide Aboriginal students with support that will help them to follow an alternative pathway into the teaching profession. Successful students are offered a school based traineeship as part of their HSC study program. Trainees undertake paid employment at their local primary school and complete Certificate III in Education Support with N.S.W TAFE. Successful completion of this program will qualify them for entry into teacher training courses in Education offered by the University of Wollongong.
