White Ribbon is the symbol of the ‘treating women with respect' campaign. Our school is proud to be a part of this, and has pledged to never 'be violent or silent' regarding the issue of violence against women. Last year on White Ribbon Day, 25 November, eight teachers and the school captains took the pledge to act against violence.
A welcoming and friendly school working with and for our local community
This year, Year 12 are hosting a fundraiser for the White Ribbon Foundation. On Thursday 7 May, at 7pm we invite you to join us at Greater Union Shellharbour. We will enjoy a special screening of Pitch Perfect 2, popcorn and drink; and most importantly raise awareness and money to support this very significant foundation.
Tickets for the event will be sold at the front office of Albion Park High School, and will be $20 each. Funds raised will be donated to the White Ribbon Foundation and the Year 12 Community Initiative. Please support this wonderful campaign and help us promote a non- violent society.
In line with the cinema event, there is a poster competition currently running at the school - all students are invited to submit their own creation promoting this Pitch Perfect 2 event. Entries close on Friday of Week 7. Please see Ms Poole for further details. All students who enter will be awarded extra earner vivo points!
