This year we had such an amazing variety in the students representing Albion Park High School at Southern Stars. Here is an overview.
Southern Stars Performing Company
Josie Barkeit and Jessie Ingram are two fantastic dancers who auditioned and were successful in becoming part of the Southern Stars Performing Company. They make up part of an elite group of dancers who feature in this year's show. They performed brilliantly and their school and community are very proud of you.
Fabulous Vocal Ensemble
The Fabulous Vocal Ensemble was under the expert guidance of Miss Boyd. This group rehearse after school each week and have been working very hard in preparation for this year's show. They are part of over 400 students who make up the Mass Choir and feature in 23 songs throughout the production. We are very excited to have APHS represented in the Mass Choir this year.
Jack Twist has been Mrs Keen's go to guy for anything sound and technical for a number of years. This year he has been given the opportunity to work closely with the sound team and in particular is charged with making sure all the Featured Vocalists are mic-ed up and ready to go. The technology Jack is working with and the sheer size of the production gives him a very unique experience, one he can't get from a classroom or school production. We are proud of you Jack, learn lots and bring us back lots of new tricks and ideas we can use at school.
The Illawarra Flame Trees
Shakiah-Lee Preo is part of an indigenous dance group called the Illawarra Flame Trees. The group is made up of students from across the region and in featured as part of the moving choir item. Southern Stars Performing Company. Well done Shakiah was amazing and we are all very proud of you.

The girls have worked very hard, giving up weekends and holiday time to attend rehearsals. They have represented their school proudly and it is very exciting to see such talent coming from our school. We enjoyed seeing you sing up a storm.

She is pictured here in the pit where she plays the 8 numbers which she has been allocated to play in the show.
