The NSW Premier's Reading Challenge is on again for students in Years 7-9. All students have to do is read 20 books (we have a great variety from novels to picture books) between 3 March and 22 August.
Fifteen books must be from either the 5-6 or 7-9 Premier's list and 5 can be personal choice books.
It's that easy! From 3 March, students can register at https://products.schools.nsw.edu.au/prc/home.html
from 3 March or see Mrs Hoole in the Library and she will do it for you.
Reading for 15 minutes each day will boost your skills in reading comprehension, sentence structure,
spelling and vocabulary. It is one of the best things you can do to improve your overall literacy. Did you
know a recent UK study showed that reading for over 6 minutes can reduce your stress levels by up to
68%? Visit the Library, take up the challenge, improve your literacy and reduce your stress levels!
