The final debate for our junior debating team saw them compete against Moss Vale High School early this term. The team, comprising Aleiya Jolliffe, Aliya Picker, Chloe Flynn and Chloe Clifford were victorious in their argument that "we should ban the Naplan test". On such a contentious topic, the team put forward key arguments based heavily around statistics and facts about educational standards. They dominated the debate and each spoke to a time above the 4 minute mark.
This was a wonderful way to conclude the debating competition this year and our team have performed very well to achieve a pleasing 2 out of 3 wins. As always, they conducted themselves confidently and with good manners. A fabulous effort.
