We finished 2013 on a high with many of our students achieving success across a range of areas. Our brilliant futsal teams won both divisions in a local futsal competition late in term four. We are incredibly proud of Jessica Hector who won VET Student of the Year in the area of Retail. I would also like to extend my congratulations to Joshua Tutureski and Mathew Vella, who have secured full time employment at Flagstaff. I wish both these young men all the best for the next part of life's journey.

We have hit the ground running in 2014 and I would like to take this opportunity to welcome back all our existing students and their families. We ran a very successful transition program for our incoming new Year 7 students in term four last year, so they should feel very much at home here already. However, again I welcome them and their families to Albion Park High School and I look forward to sharing the next six years of your child's education with you all, as part of our Support UnitI am very excited about the year ahead and as always, it will be jammed packed with innovative programs and activities that focus on building skills in the areas of literacy, numeracy, social skills, travel training and work ready skills.

All of our senior students will begin their TVET courses over the next week, we will have students out experiencing the world of work through our work experience program, enhancing skills in elective classes and enjoying practical learning while out within the community.

We are also pleased to be offering a camp to our students in term three this year and a selection of other exciting programs, as they come our way throughout the course of the year. So let's get set for another productive and memorable year!
